Summer School 2025 for high school students
June 16 - July 3, 2025
The program
The 2025 STEM for Scholars Summer School will immerse participants into a diverse range of advanced STEM activities and resources, with the dual aim of nurturing interest and curiosity about actual research in STEM fields and to prepare students for a successful college application process.
Format and structure

Students will be introduced to advanced concepts and current research in the following areas:
- Quantum Information
- Machine Learning (AI)
- Nanotechnology
- Modelling in Epidemiology
- Bio-informatics
Review sessions for college applications (standardized testing, essay writing, undergraduate research) will also be included with an individualized schedule.
Prior results

Recent alumni of the STEM Summer School include Dr. Pranav Warman (2014, Barry Goldwater Fellow), Roshan Warman (2016 Ky Fan AMS award and 2019 Columbia University Rabi Scholar), Logan White (2014, University of Chicago alumn), and Ricardo Condori (2015, AEOP fellow). The school traditionally has a high enrollment ratio of underrepresented groups. Typically, projects completed through the summer school are published in undergraduate research journals or eventually become winners of student competitions such the ISEF Talent Search. Qualified participants will be invited to participate on the 2024 ±«Óãtv Putnam Undergraduate Mathematics Competition.
Costs and fellowships
A number of qualified applicants will be offered free admission to the STEM for Scholars Summer School. Winners of first prizes in the 2025 Hillsborough County Math Bowl are automatically extended free admission into the program. For general participants, the cost is 500$ per week.
