From swimmer to soldier: the public health journey of Lt. Col. Sean Beeman
Although born in Kansas, ±«Óãtv College of Public Health (COPH) alumnus Sean Beeman considers Trophy Club, Texas, his hometown. And being a competitive swimmer in high school gave him the jumpstart to join the Navy and serve as a search and rescue swimmer for 14 years, which eventually led him down a lifelong path of military service and public health.

Examining the intersection between blood-alcohol levels and impaired driving
As part of her thesis project, ±«Óãtv College of Public Health undergraduate student Amira Elfeel performed a literature review of articles and government resources assessing variables related to traffic accidents and alcohol consumption. She specifically looked at the antegrade and retrograde estimation of blood alcohol impairment.
