COPH faculty members winners of ATMCH Innovative Teaching Award
Three ±«Óătv College of Public Health (COPH) faculty were the recipients of the annual Association of Teachers of Maternal and Child Health (ATMCH) Innovative Teaching Award. The team of winners which included Drs. Vickie Dugat, Abraham Salinas-Miranda and Cheryl Vamos, were announced in January.

Transitioning careers: One alum’s path from microbiology to public health
Originally from Cleveland , ±«Óătv College of Public Health (COPH) alumna Tracey Rummel moved to San Diego before eventually settling in Tampa, Fla. There, Rummel was introduced to public health through her 20-year career in microbiology.

Partnership growth in Panama
A team of ±«Óătv Health professors representing the ±«Óătv Genomics and Internal Medicine-Infectious Disease traveled to Panama in February. The delegation was focused on strengthening existing Panamanian partnerships, discovering new programs and visiting local health institutions, while providing a forum for the ±«Óătv faculty to share current research projects.
