CFS research associate professor selected to serve on Board of Disability Rights

Dr. Liz Perkins

Liz Perkins, PhD, is a research associate professor in the Department of Child & Family Studies and the associate director of the Florida Center for Inclusive Communities.

Congratulations to Liz Perkins, PhD, who has recently been selected to serve as a member-at-large on the Board of Directors of Disability Rights Florida.

Disability Rights Florida was founded in 1977 as the state's designated Protection and Advocacy (P&A) system for individuals with disabilities in the State of Florida. The P&A system exists to ensure the civil rights, safety, wellbeing, and success of people with disabilities. P&As demand access and accountability in:

  • health care
  • education
  • transportation
  • voting
  • housing
